DISTINGUISHED VISITORS SCHEME

The School of Law operates a visiting scholars scheme, with a view to encouraging lawyers of high standing, from an academic or practical background, to spend time on campus. Visitors are encouraged to participate in the teaching programme. They are also expected to deliver a staff seminar or a public lecture during their stay. An office and a computer will usually be made available to the visitor. If this is not possible visitors will be allocated carrel space in the library and given access to the computers in the library and computer room. All visitors will be given access to the library and borrowing rights. Accommodation is not offered free of charge, but a staff house or guest room may be available to rent at staff rates.

Application for visitors’ status should be made on the Application for Stipendiary/Non-Stipendiary Visiting Scholarship Form and submitted to the Head of Department. There are currently no Stipendiary Scholarships available.
