Long ago there lived an old man who fell in love with a girl. She was just a young girl. The old man asked the girl's father if he could let his daughter marry him.
The girl's father was very glad for his daughter to stay with the old man. One day the girl's family made a last feast together with the girl before she could go to be with her husband.
On the next day the the girl's father took her to her husband. When the girl saw her husband she didn't like him at all because he was very old. But the young girl didn't say anything to her father.
She was left with that old man who was her husband and her father went back home.
During that very night the girl ran away from her husband back to her village.
On the next day her father took her back to her husband.
She kept on leaving and her father kept on taking her back until she came upon an idea. Her idea was was not to go back to her village but instead to go and hide in the bush so that no one would be able to find her.
And so she left her husband and hid in the bush.
One day she was walking through the bush and she was very hungry but there was nothing to eat. She continued to walk and then she saw a navara.
She took the navara and continued to walk until she came upon a big stone.
She decided to break the navara on the stone so she could eat.
The young girl climbed up onto the stone and was ready to break the navara. However when she hit the navara once on the stone something very strange happened.
To her surprise the stone began to grow bigger and bigger. She tried to jump from the stone but she couldn't. There was no way for her to get down from the stone. She cried and cried but there was no way for her to save herself.
When she looked down from the stone, the stone was in the middle of a large pool of water and inside the water a huge eel fish was swimming around the stone.
After some time her family heard the news and they went to where the stone was located. There they saw that their daughter was right on top of the stone crying. They tried their best to find a way to save their daughter but they couldn't do anything.
Her family were very upset at what had happened but could not do anything. So they just left their daughter alone on the stone and they all went back to the village.
The young girl was up on the stone until she died.
This stone was very huge and very high. It was behind a big hill. This big hill was named MAEMORAI.
