LIBRARY
VISIT
The
VLA executive had its 1st meeting last week. We have decided
to continue with Library visits. Tomorrow 6th July 2011 we
will be visiting the Supreme Court Library, it is located behind the Reserve
Bank and opposite
GENERAL
MEETING
After
a tour of the Library, we will have a general meeting. Proposed items on
the agenda are:
- Workshop, August 8th
- Copyright toktok
with Kathy Moore, August 4th
- Online conference, August 10 2011.
- Fundraising ideas
NEEDS
Some
things to ponder on before you come to the meeting:
- Please think about some ways that
we can raise funds for VLA.
- Also, think about some areas where
you think you might need assistance/training in. E.g
in cataloguing, doing a budget for your Library, research on the internet,
marketing ideas, displays etc….We will have a box out in the Supreme Court
Library and you can drop all your suggestion in the box. We will use
the information you provide to organize workshop which will address some
of these needs.
MEMBERSHIP
FEES
The
treasurers has asked if members could come to the
first GM with their membership fees. Again, 1000Vt for
individuals, 3000VT for Institutional and 5000VT for an Institution with more
then 5 members. Please fill in the attached form and bring it
along with your fees. Remember here are some of the benefits of being a
member of the association:
